Final semester at Edgewood College will be Semester at Sea.

"I was in a house of a family friend and there was a picture on the wall that said, 'Thank you Mom and Dad for giving me the world,' and it had pictures of her all over the world. I asked about it since I was curious and I've always wanted to travel everywhere. She told me the name of the program, Semester at Sea."

"I leave January 16th, 2012 before everyone's back for classes. We sail from Nassau, Bahamas and we continue throughout the whole semester traveling. While we're on the ship we take classes and then when we're at port, we have time to travel around. We get back May 2nd in San Diego, California. Then I'll fly back for graduation because I want to walk in May Commencement."

"I just am really excited to travel everywhere because when I started looking at studying abroad, I couldn't pick one place. So now I'm really excited to go to different continents, different cultures, and different places. We get to go to some remote areas in Africa that you normally wouldn't get to travel to on your own. Some of the trips we go on are excursions, like hikes, going to see whales and then some of them are Habitat for Humanity, or going to an orphanage in Africa. There's one class that everyone has to take which is a culture class that prepares you before you get to each country on the history, what you should be wearing, etc. You're learning about something but then you're applying what you learned right away."
