Madison, Wis. (TODAY’S DATE) – The School of Business at Edgewood College will again offer the International Study Tour to China, tentatively set for May 24 - June 2. The trip is an incredible opportunity for working professionals interested in Chinese business culture. Two information sessions on the tour, set for 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm, Wednesday, January 23, and Tuesday, January 29, are offered at the College’s Deming Way Campus, 1255 Deming Way, Madison, WI. The public is invited.
The 10-day tour of Beijing, Shanghai, and Suzhou provides critical insights to and valuable, first-hand experiences with China’s business climate, culture, and history. In addition to tours of Chinese and U.S. businesses, participants will meet business executives to discuss challenges and opportunities in this rapidly changing market, attend lectures on the Chinese economy and culture, and tour historic and cultural sites, such as the Great Wall, Ming Tombs, and the Forbidden City.
Diane Ballweg, founder and president of the Endres Manufacturing Company Foundation, says of her experience on the 2012 tour, “It was a wonderful trip with wonderful people. The College staff was organized and helpful, and everything was first-class. I enjoyed all of the business meetings, and have continued to talk and meet with a couple of those organizations back home. There are always helpful connections made. And the people on the trip have become lifelong friends. What a nice way to get a taste of the Chinese culture.”
Limited space is available for guests from the business community to accompany working professional graduate students on the study tour. Those interested in learning more are invited to attend a free information session. Sessions will be held on January 23 and January 29, 4:30 - 5:30 p.m., at the Edgewood College Deming Way Campus, 1255 Deming Way, Madison, WI.
