Students Named to Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities

Madison, Wis. (April 17, 2013) – More than twenty Edgewood College students were recently named to Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities for 2012-2013.  This exclusive honor is conferred by more than 2,800 schools in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Selection into Who’s Who is based on a combination of factors, including excellence in academic achievement, involvement in extra-curricular activities that contribute to campus life, volunteering to serve the wider community, and future leadership ability and potential.

Who’s Who has become one of the most highly regarded and long-standing honors programs in the nation, having earned the overwhelming respect of college faculties and administrations. And for the students – the outstanding campus leaders of the year – national recognition by Who’s Who marks a pinnacle of scholastic achievement.

This year’s honorees are:

  • Katharine Clements, a junior majoring in Ethnic Studies.
  • Heidi Cray, a senior majoring in Theatre Arts.
  • Chelsea Culver, a senior majoring in Business.
  • Paul Domann, a senior majoring in Business.
  • Stefanie Droese, a senior majoring in Biology.
  • Kristi Frisch, a senior majoring in Graphic Design.
  • Brent Gerlach ’13, who graduated in December with a BS in English.
  • Kathryn Ginsburg, a senior majoring in History.
  • Elena Gjikdhima, a senior majoring in Nursing.
  • Sarah Hawkins-Podboy, a junior majoring in Psychology.
  • Elizabeth Kunz, a junior majoring in Child Life Education.
  • Krenare Lumani, a senior majoring in Broad Fields Social Studies.
  • Samantha Marti, a senior majoring in Spanish.
  • Michael Mattice, a senior with an Individualized Major.
  • Alexandra Mercer, a senior majoring in Business.
  • Emily Pokorny, a senior majoring in English Teaching.
  • Karl Reiser, a senior majoring in Accounting.
  • Alyssa Riphon, a senior majoring in English.
  • Thor Rothering, a senior majoring in Art.
