Madison, Wis. (May 29, 2013) – Edgewood College is pleased to invite you to the third installment of the Simpson Street Free Press Distinguished Lecturer Series entitled “Achievement, Journalism, and Today’s Young People.”
David Maraniss, the award-winning journalist and author, will speak at 7:00 pm Monday, June 3, 2013, in Anderson Auditorium on the campus of Edgewood College.
Mr. Maraniss currently serves as an associate editor for The Washington Post. In 1993 he was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting. He is the author of They Marched Into Sunlight: War and Peace, Vietnam and America, October 1967, much of which centers around war protests in Madison.
He has written critically acclaimed and bestselling books on Vince Lombardi, Roberto Clemente, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.
There is no charge to attend the lecture.
