Madison, Wis. (March 12, 2014) – Edgewood College is pleased to welcome award-winning writer and producer Curtis Chin for a screening and discussion of his work “Vincent Who?” This remarkable documentary deals with the hate
crime murder of Vincent Chin in Detroit in 1982.

“Vincent Who?” and Asian-American Empowerment will be presented 4:30 – 6:30 pm, Tuesday, March 25, 2014, in Anderson Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

In addition to his writing and producing, Curtis Chin is a community activist, co-founding the Asian-American Writers Workshop and Asian Pacific Americans for Progress. In 2008, he served on President Obama’s Asian-American
Leadership Council. He has been a guest on MSNBC, CNN, NPR, and other media outlets.

The event is sponsored by the Center for Multicultural Education and Ethnic Studies Program, School of Integrative Studies, and COR General Education Program, with additional support by an Educational Programming Board
grant.
