Author Alice Goffman at Heffernan Lecture

Madison, Wis. (August 31, 2015) – Edgewood College is pleased to welcome author Alice Goffman as the speaker for the 4^th Annual Heffernan Lecture.

Ms. Goffman’s groundbreaking nonfiction debut, On the Run, brings us into the lives of young African-American men living as suspects and fugitives in a Philadelphia community torn apart by poverty and crime. She currently serves as Assistant Professor of Sociology at UW-Madison.

The lecture takes place at 7:00 pm, Thursday, September 17, 2015, in Anderson Auditorium. There is no admission fee, and the public is invited. Seating is limited.

The 4^th Annual Heffernan Lecture is presented with support from the Bob and Carroll Heideman Crossing Educational Boundaries fund.
