Madison, Wis. (April 12, 2017) – Edgewood College is pleased to announce expanded opportunity for veterans who are starting their college careers after their service.

Thanks in part to a generous grant from the American Family Insurance Dreams Foundation, the College has launched the Achieve, Connect, and Engage program. The Achieve, Connect, and Engage program is a ‘conditional
admission’ program, especially for veterans whose high school grades may not reflect their academic capacity, or whose standardized test scores have since expired. The conditional admission program at Edgewood College
provides comprehensive resources that set students up for academic success. The program will place a special focus on student support in the academic areas of mathematics and writing.

“We are honored to offer this new track for students who have served, and who demonstrate the commitment to pursue their educational goals with Edgewood College,” Matthew Schroeder ’07, Director of
Military & Veterans Services said. “The students in this program will start their careers here in a ‘cohort,’ which builds on the strength of the community that we work to
ensure for of all our students,” Schroeder said.

The Office of Academic Success and Career Development will also work closely with the first cohort of Achieve, Connect, and Engage students, who will begin study in the
fall of 2017.
