Madison, Wis. (July 18, 2017) – Edgewood College has been named to Money magazine’s Best Colleges List for 2017-18.
The magazine determines the list by beginning with roughly 2,000 four-year U.S. colleges and universities, then narrowing down those that deliver the most value – a great education, at an affordable price, that prepares
students for rewarding careers.
The methodology screens out schools with graduation rates below the median, with financial difficulties, or with fewer than 500 undergraduates. The remaining 711 colleges are ranked on 27 factors in three categories:
educational quality, affordability, and alumni success. The ranking also takes into account measured comparative value, by assessing how well students at each school did vs. what’s expected for students with similar economic
and academic backgrounds, and the college’s mix of majors.
