Madison, Wis. (July 5, 2018) – Edgewood College and GSAFE invite Greater Madison to the inaugural 2018 Consent Culture Conference August 9 – 10, 2018.

Educators and other professionals who want to deepen their understanding of consent as the basis for human interactions are especially encouraged to consider attending.

Workshops and keynote speakers will include dialogue and discussion on informed consent, consent in the workplace, disclosures, power dynamics, choice, healthy relationships, and more.

Attendees will have opportunities to contemplate the implications of consent as it relates to professional relationships with co-workers, supervisors, supervisees, and constituents. Participants will also be challenged and encouraged to reflect on consent as a means to achieve social justice.

Wisconsin has enjoyed a national reputation for pioneering efforts to address and improve public health. GSAFE, Edgewood College, and other statewide partners will collaborate to deepen this work through this first-of-its-kind event. Conference goals include shared action on conditions that improve health equity, harassment free work places, and community well-being.

Interested groups and individuals can register online at www.gsafewi.org. Registration for the two-day conference is $500, with an early bird discount available through July 9, 2018. Limited single-day registration tickets are available for $250.
