Edgewood College Named to Military Friendly Schools for 2019-20

Madison, Wis. (February 15, 2019) – Edgewood College has earned a spot on the 2019-20 Military Friendly® Schools list. Now in its tenth year, the Military Friendly Schools list has come to set the standard for higher education institutions to provide the best opportunities for veterans and their spouses.

“We are honored to be awarded this designation, a mark that we’ve embraced for each of the last ten years of being so recognized,” Matthew J. Schroeder ’07, Director of Military and Veterans Services, said. “It’s especially gratifying because of the work we do for our students who have served, or who are currently active military. We’re fortunate to play a role in building a more just and compassionate world through our students’ leadership and service.”

The Military Friendly Schools list provides a comprehensive guide for veterans and their families using data sources from federal agencies and proprietary survey information from participating organizations. Colleges and universities on the list were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey completed by the school. This year 766 schools earned this prestigious designation.
