Madison, Wis. (March 25, 2019) – Edgewood College is pleased to host the Madison Metropolitan School District and other community professionals for College & Career Readiness: Supporting Underrepresented Students. This opportunity takes place 8:30 am – 10:30 am, Tuesday, April 16, 2019.

Educators and other professionals working with youth will learn about resources and programming in our schools, community and local colleges that support underrepresented youth as they pursue their postsecondary education goals. Attendees will also discuss best practices in support of undocumented students.

“As a community, we understand the importance of ensuring that every student has access to the tools and resources they need to realize their educational dreams,” Derek Johnson, Executive Director of Undergraduate Admissions, said. “Educators, community-based organizations, and others should also have the information they need to help our youth explore and pursue postsecondary education.”

Registration for the event is required, and is available online.

College & Career Readiness: Supporting Underrepresented Students is presented in partnership with the City of Madison, the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce, the Government of Dane County, Madison College, the Workforce Development Board of South Central Wisconsin, UW Health, UW-Madison, the Madison Metropolitan School District, and Edgewood College.
