Madison, Wis. (November 5, 2019) – On Sunday, November 3, the Ceramics Program at Edgewood College hosted a “throw in” for the UW-Madison chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Participants created more than 100 thrown bowls to donate to the 2020 “Souper Bowl” Habitat for Humanity fundraising event.

Our Ceramics program offers a rich opportunity for creativity on campus,” David Smith, Professor of Art at Edgewood College, said. “It’s also really rewarding to work in partnership with colleagues engaged in community service within the greater Madison area.”

The UW-Madison chapter of Habitat for Humanity hosts the “Souper Bowl,” a high-energy event held each year the day before the actual Super Bowl. More than 1,500 guests are expected to attend the family-friendly event, scheduled this year for Noon – 6:00 pm, Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020.
