Heffernan Lecture: The Racial and Class Politics of Mass Incarceration

Madison, Wis. (April 8, 2014) – Pamela Oliver, Ph.D., will deliver the third annual Sr. Esther Heffernan Distinguished Lecture at Edgewood College β€œThe Racial and Class Politics of Mass Incarceration.”

This special event takes place Monday, April 14, 2014 in Anderson Auditorium. The evening begins with a reception at 7:00 pm, followed by the lecture at 7:30 pm.

Dr. Oliver is the Conway-Bascom Professor and Chair of the Department of Sociology at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

This event is free and open to the public. The third annual Sr. Esther Heffernan Distinguished Lecture is co-sponsored by the Criminal Justice Association at Edgewood College, the Department of Social Science in the School of Arts and Sciences, and the School of Integrative Studies.
