Madison, Wis. (April 26, 2017) – Wednesday marks the beginning of the 13th annual edition of Edgewood Engaged, a college-wide celebration of undergraduate research and academic engagement.
The three-day seminar includes oral presentations, poster presentations, receptions and events that celebrate the creativity and research of Edgewood College students.
“While student research has been a long-standing feature of the Edgewood College experience for students and faculty, we have more recently infused human and programming resources to elevate the significance of inquiry and creative activity,” Dean Pribbenow, Vice President for Academic Affairs/Academic Dean said. “That inquiry and creativity is an integral part of a liberal arts education in the Dominican tradition.”
At an invitation-only event, Dr. Lucas Graves of the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication will present the keynote address “Why Is It So Hard to Agree on the Facts? A Brief History of Political Fact-Checking.”
More than 160 students will present their research and creative inquiries this year.
