Graduate Degree in Sustainability Garners National Attention

Madison, Wis. (July 31, 2018) – Edgewood College has been ranked among the best Sustainability programs in the country. The ranking from College Choice, a leading authority in college and university rankings and resources, puts Edgewood College in 12th place for Best Master’s in Sustainability. Students in the Social Innovation and Sustainability Leadership graduate program work toward healthier, more resilient organizations and communities. Students, along with their cohort of 12-15 peers, address real-world sustainability issues related to their interests and professional goals. Classes include guest speakers, small group work, and regional field trips.

The Social Innovation and Sustainability Leadership Program accommodates both working professionals and fulltime students, and provides multiple pathways for participation. Edgewood College offers a 9-month Graduate Certificate, a 33-credit Master of Arts in Social Innovation and Sustainability Leadership, a concentration in Social Innovation and Sustainability Leadership to distinguish a graduate degree in Education, or an Accelerated Master’s Pathway for undergraduate students.

The College Choice ranking is based on institutional reputation, graduation rates, selectivity, and faculty resources. The data used in the ranking comes from the National Center for Education Statistics’ IPEDS database, U.S. News & World Report, Payscale, and individual college websites.

In its description, College Choice noted “with a low student-to-faculty ratio of just 9:1 and extensive internship, study abroad, and cooperative learning experiences, (Edgewood College) is a smart choice for studies in Sustainability.”
