Honorees Announced for 2017 Edgewood Engaged

Madison, Wis. (May 2, 2017) – Congratulations to our 2017 Edgewood Engaged Student Research and Creative Inquiry Prize Winners. Awards were selected based upon abstract review (two faculty reviewer assessments), and presentation as rated by one or more attendee(s). Presentations were rated in terms of the scope of the research question or inquiry, clear communication and sharp focus, ability to articulate the project, approach to evidence including analysis as rigorous and appropriate given the scope of the project methodology, quality of presentation in terms of organization and the use of visuals, reasonable and clearly articulated conclusions, and the ability to field questions from those in attendance.

This year marked the 13th annual edition of Edgewood Engaged, a college-wide celebration of undergraduate research and academic engagement. The three-day seminar includes oral presentations, poster presentations, receptions and events that celebrate the creativity and research of Edgewood College students. This year, more than 160 students presented their research and creative inquiries.
