Student Diversity & Inclusion

Edgewood College welcomes all students from various cultures, backgrounds and social identities. The Center for Diversity & Inclusion serves as a resource center and hub to the Edgewood College community by providing a safe space for all to engage effectively with others, to establish healthy relationships and to reflect on matters of social justice, equity, power and privilege through programming, events and workshops.

Though it does serve as a safe space for historically underrepresented students, the Center for Diversity and Inclusion is a space that welcomes all of the Edgewood College campus community, including students, faculty and staff that do not represent underrepresented backgrounds. Our goal is to bring our campus community together to raise awareness on issues of social justice on campus, in our community and around the world, and how these matters affect and impact us all.

As a College community, we stand against acts of discrimination, intolerance, or hate, and we expect all community members to assume responsibility for actively understanding and embracing their roles in creating a just and compassionate world. Our Dominican Catholic identity calls us to nurture an environment that values human dignity and worth, mutual respect, and equality for all persons, as reflected in the Edgewood College motto, Cor ad Cor Loquitur—Heart Speaks to Heart.

We invite you to attend one of our many events throughout the year. Bring a friend! Or just stop in and say hello. Our doors are open.
