The Department of Theatre Arts prepares you for all aspects of work in the theatre. From practical and technical to academic training, you receive the necessary background and skills to thrive in a variety of theatre settings. You will have the opportunity to expand your talent in many areas including stage management, acting, directing, design, theatre history, and more! Four major productions take place each year including a musical and student-directed one-acts. For descriptions of past and upcoming productions please visit Theatre Department.
 
You will also will have the opportunity to become a part of the Theatre Assembly, an active student organization for anyone interested in the theatre experience. You will be able to participate in the annual fall Alliance for Wisconsin Theatre Education conference, as well as the American College Theatre Festival conference. Edgewood Theatre students also sponsor the yearly Murder in the Library event and participate in the Wandering Thespians which brings dramatic presentations to the classrooms of Edgewood College.

Fine Arts Award

Fine Arts Awards are available to qualified students, both majors and non-majors, who plan to continue their participation in some aspect of theatre. The grants are offered in acting, technical theatre, and musical theatre and require an audition/interview. For more information, please visit Fine Arts Award
