Undergraduate Admissions Experience Coordinator
DESCRIPTION OF JOB:
This dynamic on-campus position directly impacts the student experience at Edgewood College and is the first point of contact for campus visits. This position coordinates activities within the Undergraduate Admissions office such as assisting with planning and preparation for campus visitors and events, assisting with marketing projects and reviewing policies and procedures. The Undergraduate Admissions Experience Coordinator will work with the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions- On-Campus Experience in an effort to increase our offerings for prospective students, families, and visiting groups to ensure they have a positive time on campus. This work will include, but is not limited to, overseeing student workers in regards to office work and tour guides, recruiting schools and community groups to visit campus, enhance virtual visit opportunities, and work with various departments across campus to build and strengthen relationships. The Undergraduate Admissions Experience Coordinator also provides administrative support for the Undergraduate Admissions Office including purchasing, stocking, and managing supplies and visit materials.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Customer Service for Undergraduate Admissions Visit Experience
- Assist in all aspects of the campus visit experiences including scheduling, pre-visit communication, greeting, and hosting guests.
- Participate in all on-campus events both during and outside of traditional working hours.
- Work with Asst. Director of UG Admissions-On-campus experience on new and upcoming events.
- Work with faculty and staff to coordinate and schedule appointments.
- Provide frontline customer support and day-to-day office operations.
- Respond to or triage phone and email inquiries.
- Organize and manage the distribution of print projects.
- Assist with the supervision of a team of student workers.
Coordinator for the Undergraduate Admissions Team
- Provide administrative support for the Admissions Office by coordinating and collaborating on processes across campus.
- Review Admissions Team calendars and coordinate calendars to ensure appropriate availability for campus visits.
- Schedule and plan check-ins with various departments across campus to ensure all background knowledge is up to date for counselors.
- Purchase, assemble, stock, and manage supplies and materials.
Other Functions
- Perform independent special projects.
- Serve on institutional committees such as search committees as an Enrollment Management representative.
- Keep up to date with college, departmental and professional changes in the field.
- Contribute to the campus in ways that advance its mission and create a positive and inclusive environment.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Necessary Education or Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required; additional related work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
- At least 3 years of experience in customer service with the ability to react to customers professionally, quickly, accurately, and compassionately.
- Higher education experience preferred.
- Preference for a bilingual candidate with the ability to write and speak in Spanish proficiently.

- Proven ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and make independent decisions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as research skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to adapt to and welcome interruptions in a positive and friendly manner.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to speak in public to large and small groups.
Required Technology Skills:
- Overall proficient skill-level in Microsoft Office, which includes Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Publisher, and basic computer concepts.
- Willingness and ability to learn new software.
