An Edgewood University alumna, Hailey graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies and minors in English, Journalism, and Public Relations. She received a Master of Science degree in Communications from Northwestern University in 2025.

Why do you like helping students through the admissions process?

This is an exciting (and sometimes overwhelming!) chapter in students’ lives. Choosing a college isn’t just about academics – it’s about finding a community, a place to grow, and a home away from home. Being able to walk alongside students during this journey and ease some of their stress while celebrating those exciting milestones is incredibly rewarding! Every conversation is a chance to encourage students, share insights, and remind them that they are not alone in this big decision. Watching students’ faces light up when they realize Edgewood could be the perfect fit for them is one of my favorite parts of the job!

Best College Memory

One of my absolute favorite college memories was taking senior photos at the Wisconsin State Capitol with my closest friends. We laughed the entire time, posed in our caps and gowns, and celebrated the end of an incredible chapter together. It was such a full-circle moment – standing in the heart of Madison, surrounded by friends who has been with me through all the ups and downs of college life. Plus, it made for some pretty unforgettable photos that I’ll always treasure!

If you’re looking for a fun (and free!) was to spend an afternoon, head over to the Henry Vilas Zoo! Not only is it one of Madison’s gems with free admissions year-round, but its also super close to campus. On quiet days, if the wind is just right, you can sometimes even hear the lions roar from campus! Its such a unique perk of living and studying in Madison – you never know when your study break might include a quick zoo trip!

Fun Fact

I was part of the very first women’s lacrosse team at Edgewood University! It was such an exciting experience to help build something new on campus and to be part of a team that was creating history for future students. Being on that team taught me so much about leadership, teamwork, and school spirit – and it also gave me some lifelong friends (and a ton of great stories!).
