Orchestra Director/Sabbatical Replacement for Spring 2026
DESCRIPTION OF JOB:
Edgewood University is seeking candidates to direct Edgewood Chamber Orchestra (MUS 350) for the Spring 2026 semester.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include selecting repertoire and leading weekly rehearsals on Saturdays 10AM – 12.30 PM as well as conducting the orchestra in 2 concerts. Additional responsibilities will include assisting concert coordination and educational logistics (securing sheet music, providing seating charts, defining call times, etc.) in collaboration with the concert manager and campus concert coordinator.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Necessary Education or Work Experience:
Qualified candidates must have at least an undergraduate degree in Music or Music Education and a proven teaching record in the field of conducting or music education.
