In gratitude for her transformative student experience, Erin has made an estate commitment to the Edgewood University Fund — supporting the university’s greatest needs — for future students.
Erin’s educational journey began with the Sisters of St. Agnes at St. Mary Springs Academy and continued at Edgewood University, where she was drawn by the small classes, strong financial support, and inclusive community. To her, Edgewood truly lived its motto — Cor ad Cor Loquitur — “Heart Speaks to Heart.” The chance to play soccer for the Eagles sealed her decision.
During her four years on the team, Erin found lasting friendships, discipline, and impactful mentorship. Coaches Gary Oftedahl, Mike Shult, and especially Tim Alexander left a lasting impression. “Tim focused on mentorship and building character first, and skills second,” she reflects.
In gratitude for her transformative experience, Erin has made an estate commitment to the Edgewood University Fund — supporting the university’s greatest needs — for future students. “Edgewood made such a lasting impact on my life — it shaped who I am, both on and off the soccer field,” she shares. “With my coach’s guidance and my parents’ example, I learned how important it is to give back. It just feels right to make a lasting gift to the place that helped me become who I am today.”
