Professional Background:
Alaine (Lainy) K. Rosenberg earned her MSN and FNP-C certification in 2018, marking the start of her career as an advanced practice provider. She initially practiced in primary care at a women’s health clinic from September 2018 through June 2024. Following this tenure, she joined UW Health in July 2024, where she currently specializes in Emergency General and Colorectal Surgery.
Alaine began her nursing career as a Registered Nurse at UPH Meriter in Madison, Wisconsin, where she gained extensive experience in the critical care float pool across the ICU, NICU, and Emergency Department. While working full-time, she earned her BSN and subsequently completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Concordia University in Mequon. Alaine then transitioned into advanced practice, spending nearly seven years providing dedicated primary care at a women’s health clinic.
In June 2024, she joined UW Health as an Advanced Practice Provider specializing in emergency general and colorectal surgery. Beyond her clinical practice, Alaine has been a faculty member at Edgewood University since the fall of 2021, teaching didactic and clinical courses for the Family Nurse Practitioner program. Her academic contributions include instructing the core “3 P” courses and managing eight credits per semester. She is deeply passionate about teaching and finds great fulfillment in mentoring and training the next generation of FNP students.
