President

President Andrew P. Manion, Ph.D., assumed the role of President of Edgewood University on June 1, 2020.

Under Dr. Manion’s leadership, the University has intentionally extended the reach of its mission by expanding programs that serve adult learners, graduate students, and certificate-seekers. Those new programs include the Master of Arts in Thanatology, Master of Arts in Art Therapy, the Doctor of Business Administration, the Doctor of Nursing Practice: Nurse Anesthesia, the Doctor of Occupational Therapy, and others. This shift strengthens the University, ensuring the ability to deliver the exceptional experience undergraduate students and families look for, and positions Edgewood University to thrive well into the next 100 years. This shift also significantly expands the reach of the mission of the University to more than 35 countries.

Dr. Manion previously served as President of Marian University from 2016 to 2020. Prior to that work, he served for nearly 20 years in multiple academic and administrative roles at Aurora University, including Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Provost, and Executive Vice President.

Dr. Manion served on the faculty of Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota from 1991 to 1998, first as Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, then as Director of the Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies, and as Associate Dean of Humanities.

Dr. Manion holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology and a Master of Arts in Psychology from Adelphi University in Long Island, New York. He is a graduate of St. Norbert College in DePere, Wis. where he majored in Psychology.
