Empowering the Next Generation of Ethical Leaders

The Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) is Edgewood University’s flagship scholarship initiative, purposefully designed to empower students who face barriers to higher education. ELP is committed to developing visionary leaders who embody the Sinsinawa Dominican values of truth, justice, compassion, partnership, and community. Aligned with the mission of Edgewood University, this transformative program ignites a passion for lifelong learning and ethical leadership, equipping students to drive meaningful changes in a sustainable, equitable, and compassionate world. At the core of ELP is a robust focus on community engagement. Students are required to complete a designated number of community service hours, which cultivates a profound commitment to service and reinforces their determination to create a positive impact in their communities. Since launching its first cohort in 2007, ELP has been a dynamic force for leadership inspiration, proudly expanding to serve 10 new students each academic year. Today, participants gain access to financial assistance, personalized support, and a rich learning environment that fully nurtures their academic, emotional, and social development. Together, we are shaping a generation of leaders poised to make a significant difference.
