Your Timing is Impeccable
With the Accelerated Teacher Education Partnership at Edgewood College, the future is now, the job is included, and you can be credentialed in 12-24 months. Students will partner with a sponsoring school district* and begin where they normally end – in the physical classroom. During the academic year, aspiring teachers will complete their coursework while simultaneously student-teaching under the mentorship of another teacher. Classes are asynchronous and 8-weeks in length.
Students can expect a high-quality student teaching experience within a supportive collaboration between Edgewood College and the sponsoring school district. In just one year, you could earn your teaching license, master’s degree, have job placement – and your school district may offset your tuition (consult your School District for specific details). Our response to the teacher shortage is paving a way for aspiring teachers to answer their calling.
*Students not employed by a partnering school district are eligible to enroll under the partnership program. The cost per credit is $660 with a total program cost of $19,800.

Think Outside the Box With Us
We know teaching is more than a job, it’s a calling. Sharing a similar mission, Edgewood College is committed to educating the educators that will inspire and teach your students. Our Dominican values of truth, compassion, justice, partnership, and community are woven into the traditional liberal arts education all students receive.
The Accelerated Teacher Education Partnership was designed to serve as a solution to the ongoing teacher shortage. The impact on children and current teachers compels us to do more. We have always been motivated to ensure highly effective teachers are educated, trained, and licensed, and now that demand is greater than ever. We have developed a partnership opportunity for your school district that focuses on increasing the number of teachers available to serve your students, improves teacher satisfaction and positively impacts teacher retention.
