Accelerated Teacher Education Program

Do You Aspire to Become a Teacher?

Your Timing is Impeccable

With the Accelerated Teacher Education Partnership at Edgewood College, the future is now, the job is included, and you can be credentialed in 12-24 months. Students will partner with a sponsoring school district* and begin where they normally end – in the physical classroom. During the academic year, aspiring teachers will complete their coursework while simultaneously student-teaching under the mentorship of another teacher. Classes are asynchronous and 8-weeks in length.

  • Tuition Offset (consult your School District for specific details)
  • Obtain Teaching License
  • Earn your Master of Arts in Education Degree
  • Tuition Reduced 45% to $325/credit, for a total program cost of $9,750 (30 credit Master's Degree)

Students can expect a high-quality student teaching experience within a supportive collaboration between Edgewood College and the sponsoring school district. In just one year, you could earn your teaching license, master’s degree, have job placement – and your school district may offset your tuition (consult your School District for specific details). Our response to the teacher shortage is paving a way for aspiring teachers to answer their calling.

*Students not employed by a partnering school district are eligible to enroll under the partnership program. The cost per credit is $660 with a total program cost of $19,800.
