Why Edgewood College

Our location on the shores of Lake Wingra in Madison, Wisconsin offers you a variety of academic, cultural and recreational opportunities.  We are blocks away from a vibrant and exciting city which offers music, art, theater, sporting events, museums, many restaurants and much more.

At Edgewood College, you will have the chance to interact one-on-one with professors in small, intimate classes filled with hands-on learning activities. You'll also be able to engage in meaningful internship opportunities.

We also encourage you to become involved on campus in student led organizations, clubs, athletics or wherever your interests lead.

Each year we welcome many transfer students to our campus in both the spring and fall semesters.  At Edgewood College, we stress the importance of our core values: Truth, Justice, Compassion, Partnership and Community. We stand by those values as we work with you to make your transition a smooth experience.

Making college affordable is something that every student and family wants, and it's something we want for you, too.  We encourage you to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and apply for scholarships as soon as possible after being admitted to Edgewood College.  99% of transfer students received financial aid in some form last year- whether that be through scholarships, grants or loans.  All students receive funds to be able to work on campus as well.

We are committed to providing you with a high quality education at Edgewood College, and part of that commitment is doing our best to make it an affordable option.

Our academic offerings are designed to fulfill the promise that we make in our mission statement: to educate you for a life of ethical leadership, service and a lifelong search for truth.

Whether your goals include preparing for a new or changing career, getting ready to further your studies or simply expanding your horizons, you will experience an education that blends the knowledge and skills you need to reach those goals.  We also hope to encourage a greater understanding of yourself and the world around you so you have a more clear sense for how you can contribute to the common good.

See our catalog for details on major/minor requirements.

Directions to Main Campus in 2018

Monroe Street is getting an upgrade this year, which will make driving, walking, and biking in our neighborhood great! It will just take a bit of patience to get to and from campus while that work happens.

There is only one lane open from Odana Road to the west (from the direction of the Beltline) all the way to Regent Street (toward Camp Randall Stadium).

From the Beltline: follow signs/gps directions to Edgewood College, and allow extra time since all traffic will be moving in a single lane.

From downtown/UW Campus areaaccess campus using Jefferson Street. Follow the signs on campus at the gated entrance to the College.
