DESCRIPTION OF JOB:     

The Department of Biological Sciences at Edgewood University invites applications for a full-time lecturer to teach anatomy and physiology and related courses for the 2026 -27 academic year.

Course Descriptions:

Anatomy and Physiology 1 (Bio210)

This course covers the study of structure and function of the cells, tissues, skin, skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems of the human body.

Anatomy and Physiology 2 (Bio211)

This course covers the study of structure and function of the endocrine, digestive, respiratory, cardiovascular, lymphatic, urinary, and reproductive systems of the human body.

Responsibilities:

Instructors would be responsible for planning, implementing, and grading formative and summative assessments in lecture and lab. They will also be expected to work with other instructors to ensure alignment between different sections of a course. All courses are managed through an online LMS (Canvas) and instructors are expected to maintain an updated course site throughout the semester.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Necessary Education or Work Experience:

  • Candidates must have a master’s degree or ABD in biology or a closely related field; a PhD is preferred.
  • Experience teaching Anatomy and Physiology is highly preferred.
