The Henry Predolin School of Nursing at Edgewood University is seeking a full-time, tenure track faculty member for the 2025-26 academic year. The School of Nursing fosters excellence in classroom and clinical settings in both undergraduate and graduate programs. The undergraduate program includes both a traditional and a post-baccalaureate program. Our Master’s (MSN) program has concentration areas in nursing education and nursing administration. A Doctor of Nursing Practice in Leadership (DNP) program is offered both fully online and in a blended format.

Utilize our state-of-the-art clinical simulation lab at the Center for Healthcare Education and Simulation, which features a realistic patient setting that includes patient simulators with high-fidelity mannequins and three real-life, fully equipped patient rooms, each viewable from a control room with one-way glass and closed-circuit monitors and in-lab cameras.

Responsibilities

  • Expertise and experience in health care coordination and service delivery. Work collaboratively with Deans and Director(s) in the pre and post licensure nursing programs to teach, develop, implement, refine, revise, and/or evaluate nursing student curriculum and policies. Maintain scholarship and service activities appropriate for rank.
  • Promotes mission, vision, values, and strategic goals of Edgewood University and the Henry Predolin College of Health Sciences.
  • Manages classes and learning environments, selects appropriate materials to support curriculum and provides constructive feedback to students.
  • Delivers effective instruction using technology and a variety of techniques in a manner appropriate to the course objectives.
  • Assesses student learning, designs assessments that measure student growth, aligns assessment with learning opportunities.
  • Promotes continual improvement as part of the cycle of teaching and learning develops and revises curriculum and instructional materials as needed.
  • Participate in processes related to recruitment, selection, admission, advising, and progression of students consistent with the School of Nursing and Edgewood University admission policies, option assessment, and accreditation processes.
  • Pursues professional development and contributes to academic discipline through research, presentations, and publications.
  • Participates in program resource development, including simulation and obtaining intramural and extramural program support.
  • Participate in service through appropriate discipline-specific organizations, educational organizations, statewide boards/ committees, or community activities.
  • Serve on Edgewood University and School of Nursing committees as needed and as indicated in School of Nursing bylaws
  • Represent the University and the School of Nursing at professional activities at local, state, national, and international levels.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director, School of Nursing Associate Dean for the School of Nursing and Health Sciences, or Dean.

Job Qualifications

Necessary Education or Work Experience

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing associated with a regionally accredited institution of higher education
  • Doctoral/PhD degree appropriate to content area or near degree completion (final semester)
  • Unencumbered license as a registered nurse and/or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and eligible for licensure in the state of Wisconsin
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusivity
  • Minimum of five or more years of clinical experience

Preferred Work Experience

  • Graduate level teaching experience
  • Distance/online teaching experience
  • Evidence of scholarship and service
