DESCRIPTION OF JOB:     

Edgewood University seeks a dynamic and mission-driven leader to serve as the Director for the Graduate Business Programs including the MBA, MBA-DBA, DBA, and MS-HR. This role provides strategic, academic, and operational leadership for fully online programs designed to develop ethical, evidence-based leaders who are committed to service, innovation, and social responsibility. The Director will ensure the programs reflect the Dominican values of truth, justice, compassion, and community, while advancing academic excellence and student success in a flexible, accessible format.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of online business curricula, ensuring alignment with Edgewood’s mission and academic standards.
  2. Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty teaching, including dissertation chairs, in the programs, fostering a scholarly and inclusive learning environment.
  3. Provide academic advising and dissertation support to students, guiding them through research and learning that contributes to ethical leadership and organizational transformation.
  4. Collaborate with enrollment, marketing, and student services teams to support recruitment, retention, and student engagement in an online learning environment.
  5. Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and institutional policies.
  6. Promote a culture of academic integrity, service, and lifelong learning consistent with Dominican values.
  7. Represent the programs at professional conferences, community events, and within academic networks, as necessary.
  8. Manage program budgets, scheduling, and strategic planning in coordination with the Dean.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Necessary Education or Work Experience:

  • Doctorate in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience in graduate-level teaching, academic leadership, and online program delivery.
  • Strong record of scholarly research and/or applied business practice.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and ethical leadership.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and team-building skills.

 Preferred:

  • Familiarity with adult learners and online pedagogy.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards (e.g., HLC, ACBSP).
  • Background in mission-driven or faith-based higher education.
  • Experience supervising doctoral dissertations or capstone projects.
