Visiting Professor – Anatomy and Physiology
Description of Job
The Division of Biological Sciences at Edgewood College invites applications for a year-long, full-time instructor to teach anatomy and physiology in the fall of 2025 and spring of 2026.
Responsibilities
We are looking for an instructor to teach both the lecture and lab components of our two semester Anatomy and Physiology sequence. This course is taught either 100 % face-to-face or 80% face-to-face and 20% online. Both versions are managed though an online LMS (Blackboard or Canvas). The selected candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and grading formative and summative assessments as well as helping to prep for labs. They will also be expected to work with other instructors to ensure alignment between sections of this course.
Course Descriptions –
Anatomy and Physiology I – Structure and function of the cells, tissues, skin, skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems of the human body.
Anatomy and Physiology II – Structure and function of the endocrine, digestive, respiratory, cardiovascular, lymphatic, urinary, and reproductive systems of the human body.
Job Qualifications
Necessary Education or Work Experience
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in biology or a closely related field. Experience teaching Anatomy and Physiology is highly preferred.
