Event Facilities

Edgewood College’s Monroe Street campus includes the Oscar Rennebohm Library, two dining spaces, four residence halls, banquet spaces, reception spaces, an auditorium, a work out facility, as well as a boardwalk overlooking Lake Wingra and the UW Arboretum.

Auditorium

Capacity: 259 | 3848 sq. ft.

The Anderson Auditorium, located in Predolin Hall, is a perfect space for presentations, performances, and any event requesting theater style seating. The auditorium includes a stage with a sound and technology board podium.

Classrooms

Capacity: 16-52

All classrooms include a computer, projector, screen, and phone. Classrooms vary in styles with rooms including individual desks or tables and chairs. There are also two lecture halls on campus seating 80-136.

Computer Labs

Capacity: 24

There are five computer classrooms on campus. Two contain Mac computers and three contain PC computers.

Dining Hall

Capacity: 50-170

There are two dining halls on campus. Phil’s dining hall, located in Regina Hall, seats up to 170 cafeteria style with booths, tables, and high boys. Wingra Café, located in Predolin Hall, seats up to 50 with a mixture of booths and tables.

Meeting Rooms

Capacity: 6-28

Meeting rooms include a 55″ flat screen and computer, or computer with projector and screen, as well as a phone with conference call capabilities. Meetings rooms are available in a variety of furniture configurations.

Boardwalk

Located on the edge of Lake Wingra, Edgewood’s boardwalk spans the length of campus. The boardwalk includes multiple areas for sitting as well as ideal fishing spots. The boardwalk parallels walking trails in the woods as well as a local bike path leading to the Henry Vilas Zoo.

Regina Terrace

The Regina Terrace is located outside Phil’s dining hall with picnic table seating. The stone terrace overlooks the wooded area in front of the lake, and the grassy area is ideal for cookouts.

Predolin Terrace

Located just outside of the Predolin Commons, the Terrace is a multi-level area with casual outdoor seating. The Terrace overlooks a grassy area that is ideal for outdoor gatherings and cookouts.

Special Purpose McGreal Room

Capacity: 38

The Nona McGreal room is a circular room with configurable seating for 38. Most tables can be collapsed, allowing for open space. The room provides a beautiful view of the campus.

Residence Halls

Residence halls range in size from single- to triple-rooms with traditional and suite style set ups. Two of our halls include single and double rooms with a communal bathroom. Our other two residence halls are suite style with suites ranging from three to six people sharing a bathroom, shower, and sink(s). All residence halls include washers, dryers, as well as kitchens with fridges. Each floor also has a lounge with a TV and additional amenities.

Receptions

Capacity: 130

Edgewood College is the ideal location for your upcoming reception. With windows facing Lake Wingra, our Washburn Heritage Room can comfortably seat up large numbers of guests. Our staff can assist in the planning and execution of your reception through catering, technology, and event planning.

Reception Set Up Options

Banquet Style: Two different arrangements can be made. Round tables accommodates a maximum of 104 at 13 rounds tables. Long tables with seating on both sides accommodate a maximum of 120 around 15 long tables.

Classroom Style: Accommodates 90 people. Long tables with seating on one side face a ceiling mounted screen and podium at the front. Ideal for when an audience may need to take notes or if food is being served during your event.

Theater Style: Accommodates 130 people. This style does not feature any tables. Podium and projector at the front allow for a slideshow or presentation. Ideal for guest speakers.

Linens for tables can be provided upon request through Dining Services and CaterTrax.

As the exclusive caterer of Edgewood College, Edgewood College Catering takes great pride in offering the best Wisconsin has to offer in fresh, savory foods prepared and served by our talented in-house Dining Services staff.

Edgewood College Catering features Wisconsin products and supports local growers, producers, and manufacturers whenever possible. Our catering facility is Green Restaurant Certified™, uses biodegradable disposables, eco-friendly chemicals, and participates in on-campus pre-consumer composting.

Our catering menu is designed as a representation of the large variety of foods and services Edgewood College Catering has to offer. We have provided a comprehensive, yet not all-inclusive, selection from morning coffee to served weddings and banquets. If you don’t see your favorite foods listed just ask. Our skilled in-house culinary staff is here to personalize the food for your event making it special and unique.

Facilities Operations

Our facilities operations team features a talented group that can assist with anything from heating and air conditioning to plumbing or room arrangements. While we try to help everyone as quickly as possible, there may be some service limitations.

Technology

Information Technology Services is the primary support for technological resources on the Edgewood campus. ITSO maintains computer and audio visual equipment, strategically implements and distributes software, and supports the campus in the use of technology.

As part of ITSO, the Technology Assistance Center (TAC) serves any external group that has technology requests including:

  • Wireless, handheld, and/or lapel microphones
  • Conference calls
  • Group computer access
  • A/V needs
