Dr. Armaad Jamaal Eubanks is an educator, author, and educational consultant whose life and work are a living expression of the Dominican values instilled during his time at Edgewood University. He earned 2 master’s degrees and later completed his Doctor of Education degree there, where his dissertation research examined the influence of mentoring on academic success and self-efficacy among middle school students. 

As the Founder and CEO of Eubanks Solutions, LLC, Dr. Eubanks has dedicated his career to dismantling systemic barriers in education and empowering students, families, and communities to believe in their own potential. Drawing from his own experiences overcoming adversity and educational obstacles, he created the #FuelOrCrutch movement, a powerful message that challenges individuals to view life’s setbacks as fuel for growth rather than barriers to success. 

A 2026 recipient of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Humanitarian Award and recognized in 2018 among the Top 40 Most Influential Black Leaders in Wisconsin, Dr. Eubanks has trained more than 500 educators and directly served over 1,000 students through programs focused on mentoring, leadership development, and radical belief in human capacity. His signature initiatives, including the Eubanks Learner Language (ELL) Framework, the Determination to Succeed (DTS) Mentoring Program, the annual Determination to Succeed Back2School Summit, and the Determination to Succeed Mentoring Awards, have been implemented in schools and communities across the country, including a growing presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Through these efforts, he equips students with resources, encouragement, and meaningful mentorship while celebrating community mentors whose often-unseen contributions positively impact young people and families. 

Dr. Eubanks is the author of The Determination to Succeed and Parent Empowerment: The Five Pillars Every Family Needs for a Successful School Year, and a sought-after speaker whose message challenges audiences to move beyond inspiration into intentional action. His guiding scripture, James 2:26, “Faith without works is dead,” is not merely a motto but the blueprint by which he lives and leads. 

Whether in a classroom, a boardroom, or on a conference stage, Dr. Eubanks remains committed to building legacy through service, mentorship, and the unwavering belief that every person deserves the chance to succeed. 

He resides in Madison, Wisconsin, with his wife, Breeana, and their daughters.
