Celebrating Giving Tuesday in a New Way

  • Monday, Nov 30, 2015

Season’s greetings from Edgewood College!

Tuesday, December 1, 2015 is Giving Tuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. On this day, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.

To celebrate, we’re trying something new, and we want you to join us.

From now through the end of the week, when you apply for admission for the Fall of 2016, we’d like you to use the $30 application fee in your hometown, in a way that you see fit. Or use even just a part of it, as long as you’re giving something back to your community. We’re waiving our admission fee, and we want you to put it to work. Just use fee waiver code GIVE when you apply.

When you become a student here, you’ll have lots of opportunities to give back – in fact, it’s a requirement! The College has been named to the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for the past several years, for the work our students do both in and out of the classroom. In fact, in the last academic year almost 80% of all undergraduates engaged in community service of some kind, which totals nearly 180,000 hours of giving back.

Our students make a difference in Greater Madison and beyond, and not just on Tuesdays. If you’d like to learn more, apply this week, make a difference right now in your community, and we’ll be in touch!
