Henry J. Predolin Foundation Grant of $865,000 to Support Scholarships

Madison, Wis. (October 24, 2019) – Henry J. Predolin Foundation has announced a grant of $865,000 in support of student scholarships at Edgewood College. The announcement comes as the latest in generous grants Predolin Foundation has made to Edgewood College over the last 12 years.

“This generous gift stands as an endorsement of our efforts to reimagine Edgewood College as we prepare for our second century as a Madison institution,” Mary Ellen Gevelinger, O.P., Interim President of Edgewood College, said.Mary Ellen Gevelinger, O.P.

President Gevelinger underscored the College’s gratitude to its longtime supporter, Henry J. Predolin Foundation, for this important gift to both current students, and to students in the future. The gift will provide direct scholarship support to more than 100 students in the Predolin Academic Areas – Business, Nursing, and Science.

“The Predolin Foundation directors value our long-term relationship with Edgewood College,” Bob Chritton, Predolin Foundation President, said. “We look forward to continuing our support for Edgewood College in the years to come.”

Over the past 12 consecutive years Edgewood College has received a total of more than $9.5 million in support from Henry J. Predolin Foundation. These generous grants are made annually to support undergraduate students majoring in the areas of Business, Nursing, and Science. Funds are allocated toward scholarships, new equipment, and capital construction for those academic areas. Since 2008, the total scholarship support received from Predolin Foundation is nearly $5.5 million and has benefitted more than 400 students.

Scholarships from Henry J. Predolin Foundation continue to be among the largest and most far-reaching benefactor-supported scholarships offered at Edgewood College.

Henry Predolin served on the Board of Trustees of Edgewood College from 1988 to 1991, and was instrumental in helping to develop the vision for the campus master plan. Mr. Predolin was known for his strong work ethic and attention to detail. At the time of his death, Mr. Predolin established Henry J. Predolin Foundation to honor the memory of his son, Henry J. Predolin.
