Community Contributors Create ‘Reflections for the Season of Lent 2023’

Madison, Wis. (February 22, 2023) - Continuing an annual tradition, contributors from throughout the community of Edgewood College have created Reflections for the Season of Lent 2023. 

Lent is the forty-day preparatory period before Easter, beginning on Ash Wednesday. In the Christian tradition, the season of Lent is a time of soul searching and repentance—a time for reflection while taking stock of one’s life in preparation for the Easter celebration.

Generally, we have included only a portion of the biblical text due to space constraints. We hope these reflections, based on readings in the Common Christian Lectionary, serve as a guide and a point of inspiration for you during this year’s observance of Lent.
