“It is a tremendous honor to lead the Athletic Department at Edgewood College,” Pasquarello said. “I will approach this role with pride, passion, and a deep sense of purpose. I extend my sincere gratitude to Dr. Manion, Amanda Berg, Tess Ferzoco, Matt Sullivan, Suann Saltzberry, and the dedicated coaches and staff who have entrusted me with this opportunity. Together, we will work in close alignment with the university leadership, our passionate alumni, and generous supporters to elevate the student-athlete experience.”

Pasquarello brings 32 years of coaching, 24 years of experience in higher education, and 15 years in collegiate athletics. Pasquarello most recently served as the Executive Director of the W Club and Strategic Partnerships at UW-Madison. In this role, Pasquarello built relationships between current student-athletes and alumni. Pasquarello provided support services that elevated the student-athlete experience, with a focus on academics, career development, community, engagement, and inclusion. As of the academic year just completed, student-athletes at Edgewood College comprised more than one-third of the total undergraduate student population.

“We are very excited that Nick Pasquarello is joining our community and will be the very first Director of Athletics for the Eagles of Edgewood University,” President Andrew Manion said. “I’m confident his experience and passion will build on the legacy of success of our student-athletes, both on and off the playing field. Nick emerged as the ideal person to provide leadership as we continue the development of our future Athletics and Wellness Campus in Fitchburg. We anticipate great things from Edgewood College athletics under Nick’s leadership.”

The forty-acre site of the Athletics and Wellness Campus is located seven miles from the Monroe Street campus and will be the new home for Eagles Athletics. The name of the institution becomes Edgewood University effective July 1, 2025.

A variety of roles and experiences have built Pasquarello’s strong resume. He was a member of Wisconsin men’s soccer from 1990-1994. After graduation, he spent seven years playing for professional soccer franchise in Minnesota, Indianapolis, Atlanta and Kansas City. In 2001, Pasquarello returned to Wisconsin and served as a volunteer coach with the Wisconsin women’s soccer team. From 2002 to 2008 Pasquarello served as an assistant coach with the Wisconsin men’s soccer program. In addition to his coaching experience at Wisconsin, Pasquarello is actively involved in coaching youth soccer with the Madison 56ers Soccer Club. Pasquarello has been involved in the Madison 56ers since 2001, and his coaching experience with youth soccer in the Madison community uniquely prepare him for the tremendous responsibility of leading Eagle Athletics.

Pasquarello returned to UW-Madison to work in the Wisconsin School of Business as an outreach specialist with the family business center from 2009-2012. He then transitioned to a role in the Office of Corporate Relations as a senior university-business liaison until 2018. In June of 2018, Pasquarello returned to work with the Wisconsin Athletics Department, and was named Director of Employer Relations & Corporate Partnerships.

Pasquarello graduated from UW-Madison in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts. In 2018 he earned his Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis with a concentration in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration.

“We will build upon Edgewood College’s proud tradition of competitive excellence while expanding our commitment to holistic development in the classroom, across campus, and in preparation for life after graduation,” said Pasquarello. “The future of Eagles Athletics is bright, and I am excited to help shape the next chapter.”

Pasquarello takes over for Suann Saltzberry, who led the department since 2022. Saltzberry will continue at Edgewood College in a new role that will include work in Institutional Advancement.

In this role, Pasquarello will be responsible for the oversight of 21 NCAA Division III intercollegiate athletic programs and, as a result, the leadership of administrators, coaches, and approximately 350 student-athletes.
