ACUHO Graduate Intern

TERM: June 1, 2023 – August 23, 2023 at noon (these are ideal dates but are negotiable, move-in May 31)
STIPEND: $2,500
HOUSING: Furnished on-campus apartment
- Due to the requirement to live on-campus, the Intern will be responsible for contributing to summer resident community development and providing assistance with urgent response as needed
HOURS: ACUHO-I Intern generally works 30 hours a week. infrequent night and weekend hours may be required, as necessary.
ABOUT US: Edgewood College is a is a private, Dominican Catholic college located in Madison, Wisconsin that strives to provide a personalized education and support students’ academic and personal success. The Office of Residence Life at Edgewood College consists of three and a half full time professional staff members and serves an academic year residential population of roughly 500 residents.
Responsibilities
Edgewood College’s ACUHO-I intern will be an integral member of our Residence Life and Dean of Students Office summer professional staff and 1 to 2 summer student staff members. General expectations are listed below.
EXPECTATIONS:
- Assist in preparing and providing trainings for summer student staff.
- Assist in planning and executing remote Summer Workshops and planning Fall in-person Training for the Residence Life Student Staff
- Assist with Residence Life responsibilities including: room assignments, summer communication with residents and their families
- Assist in planning and executing Residence Hall open houses and summer matriculation events for incoming students
- Help review and revise curriculum, learning outcomes, delivery strategies, and assessments for the Residence Life Community Development Model
- Work in collaboration with the NODA Intern to assist the Office of Student Inclusion and Involvement on event planning and Orientation preparations
- Additional duties to be determined based on the interests of the successful candidate
- Assist with the expansion of program assessment of student learning outcomes
- Plan for and help facilitate check-out process for summer residents.
- Other duties as assigned.
