If you excel in academics or leadership you may be eligible for merit-based scholarships to help you pay for college. You may also qualify for some scholarships based on your financial need. The best thing about scholarships is that they don’t need to be repaid.

Scholarships for Freshmen
As an incoming freshman at Edgewood University, you may be eligible for scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $26,000.
The following scholarships are based only on your high school cumulative grade point average (GPA). No application is required, though you must be enrolled full-time at Edgewood University. We automatically consider all admitted students for these renewable scholarships.
The Founder’s Scholarship
- $26,000 per year
- Awarded to students with a high school GPA of 3.9–4.0
The Trustees’ Scholarship
- $24,000 per year
- Awarded to students with a high school GPA between 3.7–3.89
The President’s Scholarship
- $22,000 per year
- Awarded to students with a high school GPA between 3.45–3.69
The Dean’s Scholarship
- $20,000 per year
- Awarded to students with a high school GPA between 3.0–3.44
The Access Scholarship
- $18,000 per year
- Awarded to students with a high school GPA of 2.99 or below
- $1,000 per year
- Automatically awarded to admitted students whose parents or grandparents attended Edgewood University
- No application is required, though you must be enrolled full-time at Edgewood University
- $2,000 per year
- Automatically awarded to admitted students who live outside the state of Wisconsin
- No application is required, though you must be enrolled full-time at Edgewood University
This competitive scholarship is awarded to high achieving students with financial need who are interested in studying science, engineering, medicine, nursing, or business.
- $4,000-$8,000 per year
- Admitted students can apply for this competitive and renewable specialty award

The Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) scholarship awards between $5,000-$10,000 annually. To qualify, you must meet the following requirements:
- Graduated from a Wisconsin High School.
- Demonstrate financial need and leadership skills.
- Preference given to first-generation college students.
- Be admitted into Edgewood University as an incoming first-year, full-time student.
Scholarships for Transfer Students
Transferring to Edgewood University from another school? You may qualify for a variety of scholarship awards from $1,000 up to $15,000.
You’re eligible for transfer academic scholarships if you transfer to Edgewood University with 12 or more credits from an accredited institution and have a qualifying cumulative college grade point average (GPA). We automatically consider admitted students for this renewable scholarship. No application is required, though you must be enrolled full-time at Edgewood University. Reserved for students pursuing their first bachelor’s degree.
Transfer Distinguished Scholarship
- $15,000 per year
- Must present a cumulative college GPA of 3.5 or above in all college coursework
Transfer Excellence Scholarship
- $13,000 per year
- Must present a cumulative college GPA between 3.25–3.49 in all college coursework
Transfer Honor Scholarship
- $11,000 per year
- Must present a cumulative college GPA of 3.0–3.24 in all college coursework
Transfer Achievement Scholarship
- $9,000 per year
- Must present a cumulative college GPA of 2.5–2.99 in all college coursework
- $1,000 per year
- Automatically awarded to admitted students whose parents or grandparents attended Edgewood University
- No application is required, though you must be enrolled full-time at Edgewood University
- $2,000 per year
- Automatically awarded to admitted transfer students who live within the state of Wisconsin
- No application is required, though you must be enrolled full-time at Edgewood University
- $2,000 per year
- Automatically awarded to admitted students who live outside the state of Wisconsin

This competitive scholarship is awarded to nursing students who transfer to Edgewood University to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Total scholarship award is up to $20,000, disbursed as $5,000 per semester over four semesters. To qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
- Be admitted to Edgewood University
- Submit a Scholarship Application
- Demonstrate Financial Need and Leadership Skills

If you have questions about these alternative opportunities, contact the scholarship’s host organization directly. Reminder: you should never need to pay to apply for an outside scholarship.
American Association of University Women (AAUW) Racine Scholarship
Scholarships are available for Racine County residents attending college in both two- and four-year accredited institutions. Scholarships will range in amounts up to $4,000, depending on academic status and need. Students must be enrolled in the fall of 2026 as a junior/senior in a four-year institution or the second year of a two year accredited degree granting program. The Brian C. Jensen Scholarship aims to provide accessible financial support and reduce barriers to higher education. This $1,000 scholarship is open to all undergraduate and graduate students at accredited U.S. institutions, with no minimum GPA or major restrictions. Wisconsin Laboratory Association (WLA) Scholarship
The Wisconsin Laboratory Association (WLA) is offering two $2,000 scholarships for students who are pursuing careers in laboratory sciences. This scholarships is open to technical students, undergraduate students, and graduate students enrolled at an accredited college or university who have completed at least one semester. Students must be enrolled in curriculum leading to a career in food, dairy, water, wastewater, public health, environmental, or industrial laboratory fields and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. The Sam Hennessee Scholarship is offering one $2,500 scholarship for students of all academic levels in healthcare programs. Students must be residents or high school graduates from Green Lake, Marquette, or Waushara counties pursuing an education in healthcare.
