If you excel in academics, leadership, or the arts, you may be eligible for merit-based scholarships to help you pay for college. You may also qualify for some scholarships based on your financial need or if you are a member of an underrepresented community—these scholarships help build a more diverse and inclusive community at Edgewood College. The best thing about scholarships is that they don’t need to be repaid.

Scholarships for Freshmen

As an incoming freshman at Edgewood College, you may be eligible for scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $25,000.

Academic Scholarships

The following scholarships are based only on your high school cumulative grade point average (GPA). No application is required, though you must be enrolled full-time at Edgewood College. We automatically consider all admitted students for these renewable scholarships.

The Founder’s Scholarship

  • $25,000 per year
  • Awarded to students with a high school GPA of 3.9–4.0

The Trustees’ Scholarship

  • $23,000 per year
  • Awarded to students with a high school GPA between 3.7–3.89

The President’s Scholarship

  • $22,000 per year
  • Awarded to students with a high school GPA between 3.45–3.69

The Dean’s Scholarship

  • $20,000 per year
  • Awarded to students with a high school GPA between 3.0–3.44

The Access Scholarship

  • $17,000 per year
  • Awarded to students with a high school GPA of 2.99 or below

Alumni Award

  • $1,000 per year
  • Automatically awarded to admitted students whose parents or grandparents attended Edgewood College
  • No application is required, though you must be enrolled full-time at Edgewood College

Voyager Award

  • $2,000 per year
  • Automatically awarded to admitted students who live outside the state of Wisconsin
  • No application is required, though you must be enrolled full-time at Edgewood College

Henry J. Predolin Scholarship

This competitive scholarship is awarded to high achieving students with financial need who are interested in studying science, engineering, medicine, nursing, or business.

  • $4,000-$8,000 per year
  • Admitted students can apply for this competitive and renewable specialty award

Emerging Leaders Program

The Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) scholarship awards between $5,000-$10,000 annually. To qualify, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be admitted into Edgewood College as a traditional incoming first-year student
  • Submit a scholarship application, and if selected, complete an interview
  • Come from a historically underrepresented group and graduate from a Wisconsin high school
  • Demonstrate financial need and leadership skills

Scholarships for Transfer Students

Transferring to Edgewood College from another school? You may qualify for a variety of scholarship awards from $1,000 up to $13,000.

Academic Scholarships

You’re eligible for transfer academic scholarships if you transfer to Edgewood College with 12 or more credits from an accredited institution and have a qualifying cumulative college grade point average (GPA). We automatically consider admitted students for this renewable scholarship. No application is required, though you must be enrolled full-time at Edgewood College. Reserved for students pursuing their first bachelor’s degree.

Transfer Distinguished Scholarship

  • $13,000 per year
  • Must present a cumulative college GPA of 3.5 or above in all college coursework

Transfer Excellence Scholarship

  • $11,000 per year
  • Must present a cumulative college GPA between 3.25–3.49 in all college coursework

Transfer Honor Scholarship

  • $9,000 per year
  • Must present a cumulative college GPA of 3.0–3.24 in all college coursework

Transfer Achievement Scholarship

  • $7,000 per year
  • Must present a cumulative college GPA of 2.5–2.99 in all college coursework

Alumni Award

  • $1,000 per year
  • Automatically awarded to admitted students whose parents or grandparents attended Edgewood College
  • No application is required, though you must be enrolled full-time at Edgewood College

Wisconsin Partnership Award

  • $2,000 per year
  • Automatically awarded to admitted transfer students who live within the state of Wisconsin
  • No application is required, though you must be enrolled full-time at Edgewood College

Transfer Opportunity Award

  • $2,000 per year
  • Automatically awarded to admitted students who live outside the state of Wisconsin
  • No application is required, though you must be enrolled full-time at Edgewood College

Sinsinawa Nursing Scholarship

This competitive scholarship is awarded to nursing students who transfer to Edgewood College to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Total scholarship award is up to $20,000, disbursed as $5,000 per semester over four semesters. To qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Be admitted to Edgewood College
  • Submit a Scholarship Application
  • Demonstrate Financial Need and Leadership Skills

The P.E.O Program for Continuing Education (PCE) Grant

This program provides need-based grants to women whose education has been interrupted and who find it necessary to return to school to support themselves and/or their families. Recipients will be awarded a one-time grant with a maximum amount of $4,000.

Kettle Moraine Garden Club Scholarship

The Kettle Moraine Garden Club is offering two $1,500 scholarships for the academic year. Students must be full-time undergraduates pursuing a degree in horticulture, landscape design, nature photography, botany, natural sciences/resources, forestry, wetlands, ecology, conservation or environmental science/studies.

Eugene R. Bonynge Memorial Graduate Student Scholarship

The Eugene R. Bonynge family and Woodland Centers sponsor a $1,000 annual scholarship award for a graduate student in the behavioral sciences. Applicants must be a Minnesota High School graduate, enrolled in a graduate training program in a behavior science field, and in good academic standing.

Rhonda LP Hoffmann Scholarship

The Rhonda LP Hoffmann Scholarship Fund, Inc. is sponsoring an award for a full-time undergraduate student pursuing an art degree. Rhonda Lee Peil Hoffmann (November 10, 1957 – June 15, 2020) had a passion for art and for helping those in need. This scholarship was established to honor Rhonda’s legacy by supporting students with demonstrated artistic ability who are pursuing postsecondary education in creative fields.

Future Innovators Scholarship

Applied Medical Technology, Inc., is sponsoring a scholarship to one creative, innovative student who is passionate about making an impact in their respective field.

Zonta Club of Madison Women in Business Scholarship

The Zonta Women in Business Leadership Award acknowledges and celebrates women who demonstrate exceptional leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, ethical conduct and make significant contributions to their respective industries while addressing global or local issues affecting women and girls or climate justice. Scholarship is available at the local level with opportunities for $10,000 at the national level.

Zonta Club of Madison Women in STEM Scholarship

The Zonta Women in STEM Award uplifts innovation and celebrates the remarkable accomplishments of women between 18-35 years of age in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields and acknowledge their groundbreaking research, pioneering discoveries, and/or exemplary contributions to advancing knowledge and innovation in a STEM field. By recognizing and supporting these exceptional women, Zonta aims to inspire future generations and foster inclusivity and diversity in the world of STEM. Scholarship is available at the local level with opportunities for $10,000 at the national level.
