Madison, Wis. (August 17, 2016) – This year’s freshman class of more than 270 students arrives Saturday, August 20. Importantly, more than 20 percent of those incoming students identify as students of color, making this year’s class one of the most diverse in College history.
“The work our students do at Edgewood College has never been more important than it is today," Director of Freshman Admissions Derek Johnson said. “We are honored that students and families recognize the opportunity we offer to build a better world through study, leadership and service.”
While Wisconsin students continue to comprise the majority of freshmen, the class of 2020 hails from a total of 6 other states, including California, Missouri, Florida, and Texas.
Some students will move in to the just-completed expansion of Regina Hall. The new building adds living and learning space on campus for more than 100 students.
