Community members can take an infant, child, or adult CPR class, or learn about how to take care of a loved one with dementia. Over 400 community members took these courses at CHES in 2016.

People wanting to start a health career can become a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA). In June of 2016, CHES launched its Nursing Assistant Training Program. Now, over forty students have completed the course, passed the Wisconsin State Competency Examination for Nurse Aides and are part of the healthcare workforce.

CHES is uniquely suited to provide continuing education and training to nurses, advance practice providers, physicians, emergency medical services, respiratory therapists and many other healthcare professionals and providers. Regular course offerings such as ACLS, PALS, PEARS, and telemetry courses support hundreds each year.

The CHES partner organizations as well as community hospitals, hospice centers, long term care facilities, and other schools of nursing, schedule custom simulation sessions to practice skills, codes, drills, or new protocol in one of our simulation labs utilizing high-fidelity human patient simulators. Through this training they establish best practices, improve communication, improve team-based care, and practice achieving quality patient care in a safe environment.
