Madison, Wis. (August 15, 2018) – Edgewood College has been named to MONEY magazine’s Best Colleges List for 2018-19.

“We’re honored by this recognition, and we hope this encourages families to take a holistic approach to the college search process and learn even more about the student experience at Edgewood College,” Christine Benedict, Vice President for Enrollment Management, said. “While we are proud of this ranking, especially given its focus on value and affordability, we are most proud of the achievements of each our students – during their time at Edgewood College and long after they graduate. The opportunities to study and reflect, both in and out of the classroom, the meaningful work they do in their professional roles, and the leadership skills they share in their communities inspire all of us.”

The magazine determines the list by beginning with roughly 2,000 four-year U.S. colleges and universities, then narrowing down those that deliver the most value - a great education, at an affordable price, that prepares students for rewarding careers.

The methodology screens out schools with graduation rates below the median, with financial difficulties, or with fewer than 500 undergraduates. The remaining 727 colleges are ranked on 26 factors in three categories: educational quality, affordability, and alumni success. The ranking also takes into account measured comparative value, by assessing how well students at each school did versus what’s expected for students with similar economic and academic backgrounds, and the college’s mix of majors.
