Madison, Wis. (January 16, 2020) – Faculty and Staff at Edgewood College received an update on the Presidential Search process that began during the Fall 2019 semester. Colleagues are returning to campus this week for January Seminar, which precedes the first day of the Spring Semester, Tuesday, January 21, 2019.Becky Splitt speaking

Becky Splitt, who serves on the Search Committee and is a Trustee of Edgewood College, reported that more than 50 candidates have applied for the position of President.

“We currently have a very diverse pool with very strong candidates,” Splitt said. “The quality of the applicants is a reflection of the work that you (faculty and staff) are doing every day, so thank you.”

Splitt added that, while the application remains open, interviews to determine finalists for the position will commence in February.

The Search Committee is working closely with Storbeck/Pimentel & Associates, a search firm specializing in higher education and non-profit organizations. Interim President Mary Ellen Gevelinger, O.P., Ed.D. took over the leadership of the College in September, and will serve until a new President assumes that role. It is expected the new President will be in place July 1, 2020.
